Spotify CEO Speaks Controversy Joe Rogan

Spotify has settled the Joe Rogan controversy.

Rogan has been criticized for spreading disinformation about COVID-19 and his opinions on race.

“Obviously, it’s been a remarkable couple of days here at Spotify. As we entered the podcast space in 2019 … we assumed it was going to challenge and test our teams in ways. new and there’s no doubt that the past few weeks have presented some lessons,” said Spotify CEO Daniel Ek.

“Usually, when we’ve had arguments in the past [the effect is measured] for months, not days,’ he said.

Ek said Spotify would “publish its policies and make them clear to the world” and added that he should have done that. “It’s on me,” he said, adding that Rogan would have to follow the instructions.

In a video, Rogan apologized to Spotify for the mess.

“I’d love to talk to a number of people with different views on podcasts in the future. I schedule myself and I don’t always get it right.” Spotify CEO Speaks Controversy Joe Rogan
