Splatoon 3 Deep Dive is Nintendo’s Next Direct

The summer of Nintendo Directs continues with a blowout on turn 3 On August 10, the switch maker announced Monday morning. Fans will be looking for a fresh look at some of the game’s new weapons, modes, and secrets in the single-player campaign.

Nintendo has hinted that the main story will revolve around the “return of the mammals,” suggesting that players will encounter a new species in the game’s strange, post-apocalyptic world. The return of the popular Salmon Run co-op mode has also been confirmed, but questions like the new announcer idols remain unconfirmed.

The vibrant team-based shooter lets players paint the surfaces of levels with opposite colors in order to move faster and contain enemies. It made the competitive FPS formula pretty and accessible while still retaining plenty of depth. turn 3 seems poised to take the series to a new level in the pantheon of iconic Nintendo franchises.
