Special Guest Referee Nominated for Undisputed WWE Tag Title Match at SummerSlam » FirstSportz

Special Guest Refree announced
The undisputed tag team championship will be judged by Jeff, the special guest referee.

With the Undisputed Tag Team Championship at stake, SummerSlam will now be witnessed by someone who was in the WWE Hall of Fame. Jeff Jarrett has been named the Special Guest Referee for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match at SummerSlam. The match is decided to be between the current undisputed champions The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) and the Street Profits.

Jeff, who currently serves as Vice President of WWE Live Events, added excitement to viewers. After the SmackDown match between Bloodline and Street Profit, there was a lot of brawling with the wrong referee’s decision.

Why was a special guest referee appointed for the championship?

In the same episode just before the explanation, the Usos were really upset as the referee didn’t take into account that Jimmy’s shoulder was over the mat during the pinfall. The referee appears to have overruled the decision in Money In the Bank, where the Streets Profits lost the match, with a wrong pinfall call.

This was a clear repetition of what happened in the last dispute between the rivals. At SummerSlam, teams must start over with no balance at either end. Adam Pearce appointed Jeff Jarrett as the special guest referee to ensure no team of fans and players are confronted with such an incident again.
