South Carolina shooting: 5 people injured in ‘chaotic scene’

The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about 11:30 a.m. “regarding people shooting at each other” on Logan Farm Road, police said Twitter.
When they arrived at a so-called “rural single lane dirt road,” police officers said they found five people with gunshot wounds Colleton County Fire Department.

“Dispatchers had trouble getting information from the chaotic scene,” the fire department said in a press release. “Some inmates went to a house near the site and other injured ran south on Logan Farm Road to escape.”

The victims included four men and one woman, ages 17 to 33, according to the Colleton County Fire-Rescue.

Police said they were taken to a hospital for further treatment. Police say one is in critical but stable condition.
