SMART train collides with vehicle in Rohnert Park – CBS San Francisco

ROHNERT PARK (BCN) – The driver was hit by a commuter train operated by the Sonoma-Marin Regional Railroad Company in Rohnert Park on Friday afternoon, according to police.

The collision occurred on Golf Course Drive at about 4:15 p.m., and Rohnert Park police attended the scene and found the driver uninjured. The vehicle was severely damaged by the SMART train impact and the roadway needed to be shut down for several hours while the vehicle and debris could be removed.

The driver was evaluated by paramedics and was removed from the scene.
