Single mom stuns the internet with her ‘wild’ demand for a late date

A single mum has sparked a heated debate after trying to get her date to buy takeout for her kids after he showed up late at the restaurant.

The woman insisted the man “owed” her a steak, potatoes and chicken for their children, aged eight and five, because she was forced to wait an hour and a half for him.

The video shared via Twitter by Raphousetvshowed the angry man confronting the mother after she placed the extra orders halfway through eating her meals.

“So you think you don’t owe me anything after I had to wait an hour and a half?” You’ve already made me wait…so you’re going to pay for my kids’ meals,” the woman can be heard saying.

“I want you to make sure my kids eat too.”

The man refused to pay for the meal – as he urged the waitress to take the orders off his bill because “they’re not my kids”.

“I don’t pay for the kids’ meals,” he said, to which the mother demanded, “Yes, you do.”

The man replied, “It’s our first date, I haven’t even met the kids.”

He said the only thing he “owed” her was a second date if things go well between them.

‘Late for Date’

When the mother asked the waitress to bring the takeaway to her table, the man repeatedly said, “Please don’t do that.”

“I was late for the date, why should I bring your kids dinner?” he continued.

“Aren’t you with your daddy? Her daddy should feed her.”

The mother refused to back down, saying her children needed to be fed.

“Oh damn no,” he replied.

“Don’t put that on my bill. Don’t put that on me I’m not paying for any of this. Just because I was late doesn’t mean I’ll pay for it.”

She replied, “I want you to make sure my kids eat too.”

The man was seen walking into the kitchen as he asked staff not to add the order to his bill.

“Yo, don’t place that order—these really aren’t my kids,” the man said.

“Give me my check. Don’t put kids on my bill. Those aren’t my kids, you know what I mean?”

One of the staff members was heard replying, “Okay, we’ve got you, sir.”

‘What is wrong with that?’

As the man walked back to his table, the guests seated nearby jokingly sided with the mother.

“What’s wrong with that? You’re late,” one diner is overheard saying before bursting out in laughter.

He replied: “Ain’t nobody on my side.”

The man was back in his seat when she told his date he wouldn’t pay for the extra meals.

“I don’t care. My eight-year-old and five-year-old are both going to eat well tonight,” the mother replied.

It’s unclear what happened next – but the video ended with the man asking a waitress for a box so he could take his half-eaten meal home.

“Permission Is Wild”

The video has been viewed more than 6.4 million times – many were divided over the drama.

“Your children deserve better. He’s lucky you stayed because it certainly wouldn’t have been me,” said one woman while defending the mother’s actions.

One man disagreed, saying: “He deserves better than a woman he’s just met who wants him to support her kids… The kids have a father who does that… and it’s not the type who she just met.”

Another said: “The claim is wild I bet the guy would have paid for it if she had asked nicely or tried to pay herself.”

One suggested: “If you date a woman with children, date her children too. Ensuring their children get something to eat is the bare minimum to make time for them. If she asks, there shouldn’t be a problem. Honestly, sometimes you should offer.”

Another added: “Your children are not your date’s responsibility.”

One said: “It’s 2022 y’all. You pay for your s***, he pays for his! She left the kid at home hungry and went out on a date to ask for food? That’s on her.”

While another wrote: “REAL MEN wouldn’t have a problem with that. It always protects and shelters women and children.”
