Veteran producer and reality TV judge Simon Cowell suffered a bicycle accident last week and was hospitalized, multiple UK media reports had surfaced on Tuesday night.
The “America’s Got Talent” judge had an accident near his home in London last Thursday, was hospitalized and then released, reports claim.
A source close to Cowell told Britain’s The Mirror: “Simon was on his electric bike with its electric motor when the bike skidded on a patch of wet ground. “He flew over the wheel into the middle of the road and was lucky to be alive because he wasn’t wearing a helmet. Blood flowed from his face, but fortunately a passerby helped him. He was taken to the hospital and an X-ray showed he had a broken arm. He has a yellow cast on his arm and is currently receiving treatment but will need to rest. ”

Cowell broke his back in a bicycle accident in 2020 and had to temporarily stay away from television for surgery and exercise and recovery. In 2021, his popular talent show “The X Factor” was canceled after 17 years. He was originally a judge on the musical talent show “Walk the Line”, but was replaced by musician Gary Barlow. He stayed on the show, focusing on his role as creator and moderator of the show.
In 2021, Cowell also cancel his scheduled appearance as judge on “X Factor Israel.”
Cowell recently finished filming the new season of “Britain’s Got Talent,” which will air in April.
