Sidney Powell sues Verizon on January 6 subpoena

Sidney Powell is reportedly suing Verizon to protect her phone records from being viewed by the House select committee that is investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

The lawsuit filed in Dallas, Texas, state, “Ms. Powell has no connection to the January 6 events, but the DOJ is looking into records containing attorney-client privileges held by multiple clients.” report The Daily Beast.

Powella lawyer running for the former President Donald Trump, has been subpoenaed by the committee last month, along with three other Trump allies.

Committee wants to talk to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Boris Epshteyn and former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis.

Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) accused the quartet of trying to overturn the election in a statement.

Thompson said, “The four individuals we’ve subpoenaed today advance unsupported theories of election fraud, advance efforts to overturn the election results, or directly contact the former President. system of efforts to prevent the counting of electoral votes.”

Powell hit the headlines after the election after she vowed to prove it was fixed through an elaborate conspiracy.

She never kept her promise, and has since been involved in lawsuits against voting machine makers Smartmatic and Dominion.

She accused both companies of using complex algorithms to orchestrate elections in favor of the President Joe Biden.

Powell also made other allegations that defied logic and inferred that the election could have been interfered with foreign actors and CIA.
