Sheree Whitfield admits to having the same private label as Shein

Sheree Whitfield has proved many naysayers wrong after finally launching her long-awaited clothing line, SHE by Sheree. However, the entrepreneur recently faced backlash after people compared her “Trina Two Piece Set” to a two-piece set from affordable online company Shein.

In a recent “In The Know” interview with journalist Gibson Johns, Whitfield addressed the allegations against her and her company.

“I got some good production management and they came up with the idea of incorporating some other pieces, you know, some other pieces with my custom pieces that are going to offer different prices with different people.”

As she began to explain further, Whitfield clarified that she doesn’t make every piece that is made for her clothing line. “I don’t design everything. I don’t design hats. I don’t design things like that, so all I can say is Shein or Cheyenne or whatever, they buy from the same manufacturing private label.”

Whitfield also expressed confusion as to why she was being held “to a different degree than everyone else,” although the 52-year-old said: “Every one of these online boutiques, every one of these, a lot of these stores that you go to, a lot of designers they – it’s called Private Label. They don’t necessarily design every garment in their line, and some don’t design any of them.”

While Whitfield may not be the only brand to have pursued such a process, Ride-or-Die fans who have waited 14 years for their clothing have been disappointed with their response to the question.

“One thing about her, she’ll talk in circles”

“But if you use the same provider, then lower your prices.”

“Then why did she go to the fabric store and act like she was a designer when she knew she was going to Shein?”
