Seth Rollins was attacked by an out-of-show fan on WWE Raw on Monday night

During WWE Raw on Monday night, Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan, who jumped over the fence separating fans from performers at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Rollins appears to be unscathed in the attack, which comes after a segment in which Rollins attacks Finn Balor before a scheduled match.
Part of the attack caused the pre-production WWE TV show to cut the incident, although fan-shot video shows the attacker blindfolding Rollins with a pre-production sequence. The couple scuffled briefly on the ground. Security was able to disrupt the situation when Rollins angrily shouted at his attacker.
WWE released a statement on the situation, saying it intends to see if the attacker will be prosecuted for the assault.
“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously,” WWE wrote in the statement. “The individual attacking Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
New York Police Department confirmed told ESPN’s Marc Raimondi that they were detaining the 24-year-old fan.
Rollins returned for the show’s final segment, which included working commentary for the main event between WWE champions Big E and Austin Theory. Rollins performed Big E’s “Big Ending” closing move to end the show.
