Seth Rollins assailant hit by attack attempt

Fan blindfold and handle Seth Rollins Last night RAW was arrested by the NYPD and charged with willful assault and attempted violation of cultural and artistic affairs (interruption of a live sporting event), according to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.

As reported by the NYPD, 24-year-old Elisah Spencer left her seating area at 9:20 p.m. local time, jumped over a metal barrier and attacked Rollins, who had swollen lips.

Rollins refused medical attention following the incident, an NYPD spokesman told ESPN.

The alternation between fans and Rollins could initially be seen on TV, until WWE cameras quickly cut across the ring. After being caught to the ground, Rollins gives fans a hard time until security personnel and WWE officials broke up the skirmish.

As of this writing, there is no word yet on a court date for Spencer, nor whether he will still be in custody.

WWE released the following statement about the incident:

WWE takes the safety of performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

This is the second case of a fan jumping on WWE talent at the Barclays Center. Back in April 2019, a die-hard fan visited WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart during The Hart Foundation’s launch ceremony at 2019 WWE Hall Of Fame.
