Selection and prediction for each game

It’s time to take a look at the 2021 split and round out our NFL picks for a quartet of great games this coming weekend.

As always, the lines are provided by our major partners in WynnBet.

Cincinnati Bengali

10-7

Tennessee Titan

12-5

Saturday, January 22

4:30 p.m. ET

This has somehow become the forgotten game of the weekend, and it shouldn’t be. Tennessee has a half-dozen outstanding wins this year, including two over the Indianapolis Colts, and others over the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. The latter four? Still playing.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati has an explosive young attack and a midfielder in Joe Burrow who offers hope for Queens City now and for decades to come. This game largely depends on whether Cincinnati can win the trenches against a peaceful Tennessee team with four excellent fronts.

Pick: Tennessee 27, Cincinnati 24

Fit

San Francisco 49ers

10-7

Green Bay Packers

13-4

Saturday, January 22

8:15 p.m. ET

The biggest spread of the week, both fair and vulnerable. The Packers were the best team in the NFC – possibly the NFL – but their weakness stopped the run. Green Bay has had the league’s worst defense in the past month and if it can’t get Jimmy Garoppolo behind the club, we could see a disappointment.

However, Aaron Rodgers has a great receiver at Davante Adams and is facing a bad set of corners with an injured seven-man defense trying to pressure him. If the Packers lost this game, it would rank among Rodgers’ most devastating losses.

Pick: Green Bay 23, San Francisco 19

Los Angeles Rams

11-6

Tampa . Bay Sugarcane seller

13-4

Sunday, January 23

3 p.m. ET

This is a fascinating game. The Buccaneers are struggling offensively, with recipient Chris Godwin of the year (ACL) and a pair of attacking midfield stars in problem-solving Tristan Wirfs and center Ryan Jensen for Sunday. That was a problem for the Rams, who featured sideline racers Leonard Floyd and Von Miller, with some guys named Aaron Donald lining up inside.

Can Tampa Bay protect Tom Brady enough, and when in defence, who will cover Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr.? Plenty of games indicate that Los Angeles has dethroned the title, but can you count on Matthew Stafford against a pressurized defense to beat Tom Brady?

Pick: Tampa Bay 27, Los Angeles 23

Fit

Buffalo Bill

11-6

Kansas City Chief

12-5

Sunday, January 23

6:30 p.m. ET

The best game of the weekend and probably the whole season. Buffalo came in for five straight wins including a 47-17 defeat of the New England Patriots. Kansas City won 11/10, including the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 42-21 offensive.

These two teams are both Super Bowl-worthy, and their rematch in Week 5 (Buffalo v Arrowhead 38-20) is likely to depend on whether Josh Allen can run wild, and which quarterback feels feel more comfortable in the pocket. In an extraordinary match, it’s hard to bet on Patrick Mahomes.

Pick: Kansas City 30, Buffalo 24

Last week: 6-0
Select Playoff: 6-0
