American ice hockey player and alternate captain of the Dallas Stars Joe Pavelski had two goals and two assists as his side extended their winning streak to four games. The stars crushed the New Jersey Devils with a 5-1 win in the National Hockey League (NHL) game Tuesday night at the Prudential Center.
To support him from the other end, Roope Hintz scored in the fourth game in a row at a young age Jacob Peterson got his eighth goal as Dallas completed his four-match road trip. Goalie Braden Holtby went on to make 36 saves to elevate his career mark against New Jersey to 18-4-3.
“It was a good team effort,” Pavelski, who set up Jani Hakanpaa, scored into an empty net at 17:35 of the third half. “The boys have chipped in on this trip, it’s been huge for us with all the things we’ve scored from different lines and the well-timed goals, and that’s what you need to do in all the way and that needs to continue.”
“It was a great victory. Whenever you play counter, you always know it’s a challenge when the other team is sitting there waiting for you,” Coach Rick Bowness said. “They have a lot of speed and a lot of skill. So very proud of the boys like the way they dug in tonight. ”
