Hello Games is working on its next title and it looks like the studio is pulling off a feat. Sean Murray, studio head and director of No Man’s Sky, spoke to IGN and said: “We’ve been working behind the scenes on something pretty ambitious for a while. It’s a small team, but we like it that way. Much like No Man’s Sky, it’s the kind of project where even if a thousand people worked on it, it would seem impossible.”
Hello Games announced that they were working on a new project back in September last year, stating that whatever it is, it won’t be a sequel to No Man’s Sky. With another game in development, Murray assured No Man’s Sky fans it wouldn’t affect the speed of ongoing content updates. Murray stated, “No Man’s Sky won’t be slowed down by the next project, but neither will the new one be slowed down by No Man’s Sky.”
No Man’s Sky has just released its new Outlaws update which revamps space combat in addition to many other new additions including space pirates. The sci-fi exploration title will also come to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
