Samsung Galaxy S23 Release Date: New Galaxy S23 series announced at Unpacked event

Samsung has held its latest Unpacked event with the announcement of the Galaxy S23 series, showcasing its latest innovations in the mobile device industry.

The global tech company will again be releasing updated versions of its Galaxy S smartphone range, with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 all coming to Australia in the coming weeks.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung’s flagship smartphone, features a large 6.8-inch edge display that’s perfect for streaming video content, gaming, and browsing the web. It also comes with the S Pen stylus built into the body of the device.

The Galaxy S23 series features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor, 5G connectivity, upgraded cameras and a 5000mAh battery (for the Ultra) – which Samsung promises will provide “worry-free battery life”. offers.

Camera upgrades also see improvements in night photography and the Ultra’s 200-megapixel camera sensor, which combines 16 pixels into one larger pixel for improved brightness and detail in low-light conditions.

The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are also impressive, boasting 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch flat screens respectively, as well as 5G connectivity and an increased battery capacity of 3900mAh for the base model and 4,700mAh for the Plus.

Samsung is really pushing the environmental side of things with the release of the S23 series, with the company saying it has increased the use of recycled materials in the latest versions.

Every Galaxy S23 device is made from recycled aluminium, glass and plastics from discarded dish mesh, water barrels and PET bottles. Samsung says it will prevent more than 13,607kg of waste from entering the world’s oceans by the end of 2023.
