Salma Hayek helped raise over $3 million at the Caring For Women charity dinner

Salma’s husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, is the CEO of Kering, although the Kering Foundation consists of thirteen different directors who manage both the organization’s business and charitable affairs.

On Sunday afternoon, the “House of Gucci” actress shared a video with some clips from the second annual Charity For Dinner, which took place earlier this month. “We still have a lot, a lot of fighting to do,” Salma says in one of the clips. “But at the same time you don’t feel alone during the fight and you feel the energy and togetherness, which is one of the themes of tonight. So it’s a very special evening.”

The video also includes short statements from François-Henri Pinault, 61, actress and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey, Nobel Prize winner and girls’ education activist Malala Yousafzai, director and actress Olivia Wilde and presenter and producer Lisa Ling.

In the heading to it Instagram In a post, Salma wrote: “Last week, the Kering Foundation celebrated its 15th anniversary with its second annual Caring for Women dinner in the fight against violence against women and children.”

“In addition to the Kering Foundation’s annual commitments, we have raised over $3 million to support: the Malala Fund, the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), and the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault,” continued them away. “Let us be the scissors that break the cycle of violence against women and reshape the world.”

Fans were quick to praise the actress for her work. “All the work done is so important and appreciated and absolutely beautiful. We (the women) feel a lot more supported since seeing all of their work,” one fan commented. “Thank you for your consistency and your endless fight through this foundation. Keep fighting and inspiring people,” another follower shared.

Salma shared other high-profile events from the evening

On September 12, one evening after the event, the “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” actress posted a few photos from the event on Instagram. In the photos, she poses with some of her famous friends, including Oprah, Malala, Zoe Kravitz, Channing Tatum, Christiana Musk, Nicole Kidman, Linda Evangelista, Kim Kardashian, Isabelle Huppert, Gayle King and Olivia Wilde.

She also repeated her message in Spanish, writing: “¡Qué noche! Thank you to everyone who supported @keringfoundation 15 years ago and the second annual Caring for Women event benefiting the Malala Fund, the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), and the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Violence. It is a great honor for me to work with this brilliant foundation to combat widespread violence and continue happiness to protect women and vulnerable children around the world.”

Olivie Wilde was one of the first to comment on the post, writing: “Our fearless leader, I love you” along with a red heart emoji. One fan replied, “I love your heart and how supportive you are with your voice and your actions.”

Malala also commented on the post and wrote: “Thank you so much for having us and inviting me as a co-host. I will remember the feeling of being in that room surrounded by powerful women. Thank you all.” Glamor magazine also commented on the post, writing: “The power of this photo!”

“I hardly like posts like that. But this is so important especially for women… Well done,” another follower shared. “Wow, everyone looks so beautiful and elegant. What a wonderful event. Love it!!” another fan chimed in.
