The LA Lakers are the epitome of the Great Boast, a small barbecue, and it seems Former NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins is not content with that. Especially the player with the hottest deal this season: Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook proves time and time again that the Lakers may have made a mistake in recruiting the former MVP. He has no purpose on the pitch and is constantly raking in revenue that has broken the morale of the squad even more than it already has.
The LA Lakers built one of the scariest rosters this season and were among the frontrunners in the race for the NBA title, and like everyone, they’ve fallen too. But they were stuck there until now. The lack of effort and coordination on the pitch makes them vulnerable to attack and the opponent does not miss this opportunity to destroy them.
Kendrick Perkins wanst Lakers to trade with Russell Westbrook
The LA Lakers held the final game at the Staple Center against the San Antonio Spurs. Spurs (13-18) are surprisingly in good form against the big names this season. They beat the Utah Jazz by two points and blew the LA Clippers away in the previous game. But no one knew that they would destroy the LA Lakers literally and at their home: the Staples.
Considering this is Staples Center’s last game, it’s going to sting for a very long time. The Lakers are just at their worst paying Spurs, especially 4order quarter as the team dropped 33 points to the Lakers 18. Russell Westbrook scored 30 points in the game with 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Lakers but could do nothing when the ship was half-submerged. The team’s star player LeBron James dropped 36 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins is not pleased with the Lakers’ form this season. On a recent episode of ESPN First, one of the other things Perkins highlighted was the Russell Westbrook deal. He believes the Lakers should break “Big Three”. He say, “The one they can move, or should move, is Russell Westbrook!”
In another show called Get Up!, he raised his concerns and called the pathetic Lakers. He say, “[The Lakers] is PATHETIC! That’s the word we need to use when looking at them. … Defeat 28 [by the Spurs]? Come on man!” You’ve got Russell Westbrook and LeBron James ready and you’d think the Lakers would show up with some sort of fight.”
He also commented with his personal Twitter account when he tagged this particular segment and said, “The Lakers did nothing but come up with a bunch of damn excuses to explain why they lost their brakes! Continue…”
All the worries surrounding the LA Lakers have to do with their form and they may not stand a chance later on if they continue to beat their every game this way.
The La Lakers (16-17) will be up against another top dog of this season, the Brooklyn Nets, at Christmas.
