RuneScape pits players against an evil dragon in the Battle for Forinthry update
The battle against a very grumpy Giga Lizard has already been predicted, and this week that battle comes to life RuneScapes new Vorkath, Battle of Forinthry has gone live in the latest content update.
“On the icy shores of Ungael, Zemouregal has awakened the ancient dragon Vorkath – now he intends to use this newfound power to wipe your fort from the map. This would allow his undead army to invade the realms of Misthalin in full force and sow chaos! It’s up to you to stop him – with the help of the residents of Fort Forinthry…”
This new update sees players fight through a siege of Fort Forinthry to face the titular Dargon Vorkath and the villain Zemouregal. Completing the battle unlocks a new daily boss fight and rewards players with materials needed to craft Dracolich ranged power armor, as well as a new necromancy summoning spell and a new pet. Players can also work towards the Vorkath Deathguard and Lantern overrides in the Vorkath Hunt Gear Event.
This week’s patch also fixes a bug for the Evil Dave’s Big Day Out quest, reopens the Varrock Sewers and Edgeville dungeons to non-subscribers, and reintroduces the Varrock magnetic board, but that’s mostly what it’s about I’m fighting this mean old dragon.
