Ronda Rousey made a thunderous return to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble. Since then she has dominated the squad week after week. She won the women’s Royal Rumble match and challenged her Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Two of the roster’s biggest superstars collided in the co-main event of Wrestlemania Saturday.
Unfortunately, Rousey’s Wrestlemania record continued to deteriorate when she suffered a huge loss at Wrestlemania 38. The Queen managed to nail The Baddest Woman on the Planet to continue her 13th reign as WWE World Champion. This was a back-to-back loss for Rousey at the Showcase of Immortals.
Ronda Rousey last appeared at Wrestlemania a few years ago at the 35thth edition. She was part of the first-ever Women’s Wrestlemania main event along with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Rousey had come in as the Raw Women’s Championship but went home empty-handed!
Wrestlemania 35 was the last time she appeared in WWE before returning to Royal Rumble earlier this year. Interestingly, her ring gear had changed significantly. She wore longer pants and covered more of her upper body. In one of her Facebook gaming live streams, she revealed that the reason for this change was her pregnancy.
“It’s hard when you come back and you’re judged directly by what you looked like three years ago.” mentioned Rousey, who was active again just months after giving birth to her baby. But she worked hard, and at this year’s Showcase of Immortals, Rousey brought back her old ring.
Ronda Rousey will continue to appear on Smackdown
The Smackdown Women’s Championship feud between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey revolved around the two Superstars claiming they could take out their opponent. Ronda Rousey did just that – but she still failed to capture the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Considering the controversial ending of the game at Mania, the feud between Rousey and Flair will continue for times to come. But it’s not yet clear whether the feud will continue immediately or at a later date. On the lighter side, the Baddest Woman on the Planet has confirmed that she will continue to appear under the Blue brand.
