Ronald Acuña Jr. Injury Update. must make Braves fans very happy

Ronald Acuña Jr could return to the Atlanta Braves squad much sooner than originally planned.

The Atlanta Braves didn’t predict Ronald Acuña Jr would miss out on that much time spent with them as soon as he got out the gate.

Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos said the idea is for Acuña to start at DH starting April 21. By May 21, he could be back on the field. Acuña last played for the Braves just before the All-Star break, tearing his ACL net on the warning track in Miami. He could be out for as little as a week or two of the regular season before being brought back into a roster like the Atlanta DH.

His return to the top of the leaderboard will go a long way for the Braves to make up for the loss of Freddie Freeman in free agency.

This would be a logical step to reintegrate Acuña into the Braves roster. Having universal DH is a huge boost for a National League hitman like Atlanta. While he may not be tasked with being much of a threat on the base lanes, this allows manager Brian Snitker to navigate the roster more flexibly. Of course, the outside defense will be greatly affected by this.

Yes, there are a lot of intrigues that Snitker can deploy out of his yard. Assuming Acuña takes the role of DH for a month, it could suggest Adam Duvall would be the center of the man, Eddie Rosario would be on the right, and the hypothetical DH Marcell Ozuna could be on the left. . Of course, Atlanta could look to trade Ozuna and try to re-sign World Series hero Jorge Soler.

If Soler comes back, he will play on the right and Rosario will play on the left. This is very much the established off-field defense that the Braves used for most of their postseason a season ago. Of course, Soler has a stronger freelance market than anyone would have expected this time a year ago. He has completely reshaped his market value by having a dynamic post-season with the Braves.

For now, Acuña seems to be on track to return to the Braves lineup in about a month or so. Ronald Acuña Jr. Injury Update. must make Braves fans very happy
