Robert Kraft wants Tom Brady to return on a one-day contract so he can retire as a Patriot
Tom Brady officially announced his resignation On Wednesday. After his retirement, there are many changes ahead in the NFL world. With the plea of Rober Kraft, Brady might not even retire as a privateer!
TB12 has played 20 stellar seasons for the New England Patriots, a place he is happy to call home. Unlike the Bucs’ teammates, the Patriots have a lot of respect for the NFL legend, and why shouldn’t they? Brady grew into the person he is, playing on the Patriot team and winning the Super Bowl six times in that blue New England outfit.
With that in mind, Robert Kraft, the franchise owner, wants Tom to retire as a player with the New England Patriots! In an interview, Kraft shares his desire to want Brady back.
What does Robert Kraft say in the interview?
During an interview with CNN, Kraft shared that they will do everything in their power to get Brady back on the team and “sign off as a Patriot.” That’s not all; He added that he will “find ways” to honor the NFL legend in the years to come.
Robert also shared a story about young rookie Tom who had just joined the team. After joining the Patriots team, Brady told the owner, “I’m the best decision your franchise has ever made.” Brady proved him right by winning the Super Bowl seven times and six times with the Patriots won.
On the other hand, Kraft loves Brady and says, “To us, he’s a patriot, he always has been and he always will be.” Previously, in another statement, Robert shared that he’s “around” Brady given TB12’s all the achievements scored in the NFL. The Patriots owner also expresses gratitude for Brady, saying:
“Words cannot adequately express the gratitude of my family, the New England Patriots and our fans for all he has done. It has been a blessing for me to see him grow, first as a young professional on the field but mostly as a person off the field. He is one of the most loving, caring and passionate players I have ever known and I will always consider him part of our family.”
Now the question remains, will Brady agree and retire as a Patriot? From the looks of it, he might just do it. But only time will tell.
