Rob Wilkinson Predicts He Will “Quit” Fight Against Delan Monte

Rob Wilkinson is trying to continue his break streak against Delan Monte.

The PFL Playoffs are back with Anthony Pettis vs. Stevie Ray topping the map on August 5, 2022. This show will usher in the light heavyweight and lightweight divisions, with fighters in both groups looking to win the tournament and walk away with a massive payout. Rob Wilkinson is poised to take home one of the sport’s biggest prizes at one of the biggest venues in the industry.

“I’m very excited. I’m excited that it’s happening at Madison Square Garden, it’s kind of unreal to me,” Wilkinson said during media day. “Every fighter wants to fight here. It’s great that it’s happening in a few days .”

Wilkinson comes into this competition riding a four-fight win streak, including the last two that came in the PFL cage. His career also includes two fights in the UFC in which he lost fights Israel Adesanya and Siyar Bahadurzada. Overall, he will bring a professional 15-2 record to his fight DelanMonte.

“He’s aggressive, he comes out pretty wild. My style suits that very well. My technical boxing is way better than his,” Wilkinson said. “I think he will feel my power and I will be able to keep him out. I will safely finish the fight.”

Delan Monte is a violent forward who drives the fight

Monte goes into this fight with a 9-2 record. Most of his fights took place in Brazil, but that was before he came to the PFL where he posted a 1-1 record. His last appearance was at PFL 4, where he defeated Emiliano Sordi by technical knockout less than two minutes into the first round.
