Rio Ferdinand advised the Leeds United star to avoid Liverpool

Rio Ferdinand has advised Leeds United star Raphinha not to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool as he believes the Brazilian will not have much game time at the Anfield club.

The 24-year-old recently announced that he is happy at Elland Road and when asked by the BBC if he could win trophies at the Yorkshire club he replied ‘without a doubt. ‘ (via Echoes of Liverpool).

“The only problem I think when Raphinha comes to Liverpool is just where will he play? He won’t start,” Former Manchester United talked about YouTube channel (via shown).

“So £60m not starting is a big, big fee. And for him as a player, I’m sure he will have more options. It’s a great club, don’t get me wrong, will fight on all fronts for everything.

“That question won’t be answered positively for him: will I start multiple games? If Salah stays and signs a new contract, that reduces his availability even further.”

Reports have recently surfaced claiming the former Rennes player could be available for as little as £26m, but the Brazil international’s agent, Deco, has wanted to deny the rumours.

“I think today he is worth more than 32 million euros (£26.9 million). What will determine the price is the extent of the club signing him,” he said UOL (via shown).

“If it was Manchester United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, the price could go up to around 60 million euros (£50.6 million). What determines a player’s price is the market he has access to.”

The winger has certainly proven he has serious talent since he joined the French club, but Ferdinand may be right when he questions whether Raphinha will be included in the starting XI. our broadcast or not.

When you take into account the injuries we’ve had recently and the number of games we’ve played in the season, quality reinforcements are needed.

All players will be given a fair share of game time throughout the campaign and with the Leeds man already considerably older and younger than all of our forward trio, he is certain will be an option a lot in the long term. Rio Ferdinand advised the Leeds United star to avoid Liverpool
