Rikishi wants Umaga to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame

WWE has yet to confirm any participants for the 2022 tier of its Hall of Fame, but if it’s up to Rikishi, he’d love to see Umaga, whose real name is Edward Fatu, join the honors club.
The former WWE star took to Twitter to pitch the idea of honoring the “Samoan Bulldozer.” He wrote the following:
“I feel it is long overdue for the #UmagaHOF class of 2022. You say @WWEUniverse my brother should go this year?? # UmagaClassOf2022. ”
Umaga had two WWE appearances when he first signed in 2001 and served as 3-Minute Warning’s Jamal alongside Rosey before being fired in 2003. He returned to the company in 2005. and repackaged as Umaga.
Umaga served as Vince McMahon’s representative in the hair-to-hair match at WrestleMania 23, where he lost to Bobby Lashley, who had Donald Trump in his corner. The WWE president finally had to shave his head.
While with WWE, Umaga held the Intercontinental Title twice. He was cleared by WWE in 2009 after refusing to go to rehab for violating the company’s healthcare policy and later died that year from a heart attack at the age of 36.
