Rihanna slammed after reportedly including Johnny Depp in a fashion show

Everyone’s favorite bad girl, Rihanna, has received a backlash after TMZ reported that the billionaire has cast actor Johnny Depp on her Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 show as a surprise appearance.

TMZ reported, “Our sources say that Rihanna and her team invited Johnny to be a part of it and both sides were super excited to make it happen. We were told that Johnny has already filmed his role and she will be included in the premiere of the show…”

If TMZ’s report is correct, it would mean that Depp will make history by becoming the first-ever male model for Riri’s Savage X Fenty show.

When the news made its way to the internet, mixed feelings began to form among fans invested in Depp’s recent drama with ex-wife Amber Heard, which has involved allegations of violence from both sides.

“The propaganda of Johnny Depp is so insane because he even ignores the whole abuse case, he was a horrible person, extremely racist and misogynist… crazy.”

Depp and Heard made headlines in April when their public defamation trial began. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor took his The Rum Diary co-star to court for defamation after Heard wrote an editorial for The Washington Post in which she described being a domestic violence survivor .

Though Heard never mentioned Depp by name, allegations flew in his path and cost him career opportunities like Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts.

After six long weeks, the jury ruled in Depp’s favour, and Heard was ordered to pay her ex-husband “$10 million in compensatory and $5 million in punitive damages in his defamation lawsuit,” according to NBC News.

Some fans even brought up the ‘Wild Thoughts’ singer, who removed Draya Michele’s Savage X Fenty endorsement from the former ‘Basketball Wives’ star, in the wake of a domestic violence joke she made about Grammy winner Megan’s alleged allegation Thee Stallion claimed rapper Tory Lanez shot her in the face with his foot.

“Rihanna dumped Draya for her insensitive comments about DV relationships (the right thing), but a YT man caught on tape abusing his ex-wife and then setting her on fire in court gets his own segment in hers.” Savage Fenty Show ??? OK, sis”

In 2020, Michele was on an episode of the Weed and Wine podcast and decided to speak out about the incident.

“I assume they had some kind of Bobby and Whitney love affair that, you know, pushed them down that kind of road. And that’s what I’m here for. I like it. I want you to love me enough to shoot me in the foot too,” Draya said.

It wasn’t long before Michele received flak for making an insensitive comment on a very serious event. When Rihanna and her team were made aware of this, the lingerie company quickly unfollowed the model on Instagram and severed all ties with her.

While many don’t approve of Rihanna’s decision to add Depp to her show, some fans have chosen to stay by her Caribbean queen’s side and defend her choice.
