Burke shared the news on Instagram and revealed her shock in a caption with three photos of the proposal.
“7.20am yesterday morning at the dog park, I’ve never been so shocked in my life. Big YES,” she wrote.
Lynch posted the same pictures with three love hearts.
Burke also posted a collage of the photos to accompany her stories with the caption “couldn’t stop crying.”
And the water works continued later in the night as Burke’s parents, who live in Gold Coast, celebrated with the happy couple.
It caps a big year for the Star Tiger, who won the club’s Best and Fairest award in September after scoring 63 goals in 19 games.
Meanwhile, Silvagni also got engaged over the weekend and proposed to Grace Phillips.
Carlton legend Stephen’s son celebrated with friends and received plenty of congratulations on social media, including a cheeky post from brother Ben.
“I can’t wait for your fourth generation Carlton son,” he wrote.
It continues a romantic off-season in AFL circles, with Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom, Geelong Premiership player Zach Tuohy, Sydney star Luke Parker, Richmond’s Nathan Broad and Greater Western Sydney couple Stephen Coniglio and Phil Davis among those to say yes – Giving his word while Melbourne superstar Christian Petracca proposed to his partner Bella Beischer.
