Rich Eisen mercilessly trolled Ohio State in the Pro Football Hall of Fame

As the host of the Pro Football Hall of Fame dinner, Michigan’s Rich Eisen couldn’t resist the opportunity to toast the Ohio State Buckeyes.

NFL Network’s Rich Eisen has spent much of the past decade as a former Michigan Wolverines player against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

However, following the Wolverines’ 42-27 win last November, the beloved personality couldn’t resist the opportunity to bounce back at the Scarlet and Gray as only someone in Maize and Blue could do.

At the Pro Football Hall of Fame celebratory dinner, Eisen trolled the Buckeyes about the competition and brought up Hassan Haskins and his magical five-touchdown day while celebrating the end of eight years of Wolverine misery endured by the Buckeyes . Needless to say, Buckeye believers in attendance were not pleased.

Phew, it’s been a long time coming, and to be fair to Rich Eisen and the Michigan Wolverines, they’re the ones enjoying the moment, at least until the next meeting. You won the game and he who laughs last laughs best. That’s just the golden rule of competition and life. The state of Ohio sees it differently.

The people of Columbus think the people of Ann Arbor are enjoying this a little too much, knowing the Buckeyes have been dominating for a long time of late. Also, the next meeting between the two will be in Columbus, where the Wolverines haven’t won since Drew Henson and David Terrell helmed the show.

Anyhow, Rich Eisen got a good laugh, at least in the eyes of the Michigan fans who have longed for this moment. As for Ohio State viewers, they have to endure it, and they may end up hearing it again if they don’t win the next meeting. Sports are fun, right? Just like rivalries.
