REPORT: Klay Thompson Recognized as a ‘Full-Time Participant’ for Practice

On Sunday, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors All-Star was reportedly confirmed as a “full-time participant” in all of the team’s “future practices”. according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The timeframe could mean Thompson’s return date could be one of home games the week before Christmas on December 20 against the Sacramento Kings or December 23 against the Memphis Grizzlies. each Yahoo! Sports.

However, according to Mark Haynes, head coach Steve Kerr said he “didn’t know where that came from”.

What’s clear about Thompson’s return is that it will be his first game since he tore his ACL net in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. After sitting out the entire next season, a A tear in his right Achilles tendon before the 2020-21 season kept him out for another season. As of this past weekend, it was almost 900 days since Klay Thompson played an NBA game.

The Golden State Warriors improved their NBA best to 15-2 after beating the Toronto Raptors 119-104 on Sunday. They play the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
