Nate Diaz is no stranger to impunity. After all, this is the man Successfully defeated Khabib at the World Fight (WSOF)and so on, claiming victory over the old undefeated champion. This time, Diaz and his camp got into a brawl in Tampa at a ceremonial event for upcoming boxing matches.
Before Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley were eliminated in the main event, Diaz guard Chris Avila was expected to face Anthony Taylor in the preliminary card. The pair battled out at Bellator 238 in January 2020, with Taylor winning in a tight decision, and it looks like the bad relationship hasn’t subsided yet.
Supporting their little boy alongside UFC fighter Nick Maximov, Team Stockton had a shove match with Taylor, Bellator champion AJ McKee, and the rest of that team. Luckily, it doesn’t look like any real punches have landed in all the commotion, so tomorrow’s match will continue without issue.
TMZ Sports captured the chaotic scene in the video above. After the altercation, Maximov summed up the situation, explaining, “They tried to run up and got stabbed. Again. Anthony Taylor said it was ‘seen’, and then he had the f-king tail between his legs. “
While many things have been created about final opponent for Nate Diaz .’s UFC contract, one has to wonder if his presence at a Jake Paul boxing match was intentional. After all, a boxing match between Paul and Diaz is sure to yield a large number of pay-per-view (PPV) buys.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Diaz makes a splash in the ring after the main event.
