Ravens Super Bowl Champion Matt Birk Joins Minnesota Gubernatorial Scott Jensen’s Candidate – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Matt Birk, a center with the Baltimore Ravens for three seasons and a member of the Super Bowl XLVII winning team, is in the running for the ticket of Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen, a Republican.
A video announcement released by the campaign on Tuesday shows a football player in a red shirt entering to block an opponent wearing a blue shirt with phrases such as “Lockdowns”, “Vax Mandate”, “Mask Mandate”. and “Carjackings” on the backs of their shirts – players like those that moment before handling everyday citizens or dropping them into the water.

The striker of the blue team kicked a soccer ball with the word “inflation” in the groin of a man.
Revealed: Birk entered the frame wearing a red number 22 shirt over a shoulder pad.

Birk said: “I am the son of St. “I want Minnesota to be the winner, have the best schools, the best environment for small businesses, and the best place to raise a family.”
On Twitter, he added, “I’m tired of the ‘mediocre’ attitude of our politicians.”

Each campaign biographyJensen, a former Minnesota Senate member and family physician, was against “the government imposing draconian measures against the impact of the virus.”
He listed his top issues as addressing the state’s “crime pandemic” and preventing future emergency closures.
Nine Republicans are running for a chance to take on incumbent Democratic Governor Tim Walz in the general election, according to MinnPost press. The primary election is scheduled for August 9.
During his 15-year NFL career, Birk spent 10 years playing for his hometown team Minnesota Vikings, winning the Pro Bowl 6 times. He played college football at Harvard.

As a Crow, he won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for his work promoting youth literacy and started all 16 games in each of his three seasons.
