Amidst the Durham bombings, the FEC fines on Clinton and the DNC, and other reports on the 2016 election and its aftermath, a growing part is waking up to the fact that the Russia hoax is indeed a hoax, and that Trump wasn’t Russian spy, but someone unfairly framed by a vicious clique of enemies.
Many Americans knew this from the start and understood that the Steele dossier, the “Pee Tape” and all those other ridiculous Russian claims were lies, but many others were not. RINOs in the GOP, liberals, die-hard Clintons, those who bizarrely trust the “national security” establishment, and many others fell for the swindle and believed the lie that Trump was some sort of Russian agent.
Well, during an appearance on Newsmax, Senator Rand Paul ripped through all those who were spreading this ridiculous lie, tearing them apart by making a joke that they were the ones who needed to be investigated for ties to Russia, saying:
“Maybe we should get a special prosecutor. We may have to spend around $100 million to investigate Putin’s contributions to the green alarmists in our country.
“I don’t know if it’s true. But can you imagine that there is probably more truth in that than any of the BS they put forward to try to tie the Russians to the Trump campaign.”

Reporting on the context behind Senator Paul’s joke, the Daily Caller notes:
Environmental groups opposed the Keystone XL pipeline and also urged restrictions on oil and gas drilling. Many environmentalists also opposed hydraulic fracturing or fracturing, claiming it contributes to climate change and damages water supplies. Critics say these efforts, coupled with the Biden administration’s current policies, have contributed to high oil and gas prices, meaning more revenue for the Russian government.
Of course, Senator Paul’s comment about the green groups was a joke, not a statement of fact.
Although Russian energy companies could benefit from America’s refusal to dig more wells and pump more oil, there are currently no known links between Russia and environmentalists, according to the Daily Caller.
Although there are no proven links between the Russians and American environmentalists, rumors have circulated that the two are in cahoots. As the political insider notes:
The Hill notes that two Republicans [congressmen] wrote to Treasury Secretary Mnuchin in 2017, writing in the letter, “Importantly, her letter ties together some of the points highlighting Russia’s covert efforts to fund various environmental organizations that have attempted to limit or limit US hydraulic fracturing, or fracking for shale and shale gas.” finish oil.”
That may or may not be an accurate accusation, but whether true or not, it makes Senator Paul’s joke all the more pointed. There is no change, we will treat the environmentalists as Trump was treated, even though the phantom links between them and Russia are just as real, if not more real, than the links between Trump and Russia. Yet the Left treated Trump that way, showing their bias and revealing how unfairly Trump was treated.
