It’s eye candy for the cricket fans as the fielders and wicket-keepers make a sharp catch. After his stunning 140*, Lucknow Supergiants’ Quinton de Kock showed his brilliant catching skills to make a one-handed catch, jumping to his right to sack Kolkata Knight Riders’ Venkatesh Iyer. This match was played on Wednesday 18th May at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.
You can see the catch below:
When LSG fielded a huge 210 total without dropping a wicker during the innings, KKR batters were no less behind in their pursuit. But in the very first over, KKT suffered an early blow losing Venkatesh Iyer to Mohsin Khan’s over. An inside edge of the bat sent the ball back and De Kock was quick behind the wickets in anticipation to snap that one-handed dive catch.

“They’re both beautiful to look at.” – Andy Flower on Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul
LSG trainer Andy Flower praised the duo and even called on them to retire: “That’s a damn good record, they hit wonderfully. We’ve seen some special shots from both this season and again that was brilliant to watch. They are both beautiful racquets to look at. At the end of the 18th, we sent a message saying, “If you’re too tired to hit the ball hard, you can retire and we’ll send some of our big hitters in.” These guys, all of 1 through 9, can hit the ball so hard,” said Andy Flower.
“A limit is a big limit so Quinton, who is not really known for his big shots, would have given him great satisfaction to have hit balls like that. One thing is for sure, if you ever get complacent in this game, it will come and bite you. That’s a message we’re going to put out there. If we can do the basics well, we’re in a good position,” he added.
