BOSTON (CBS) – Former Assistant Attorney General Quentin Palfrey is officially running for Massachusetts Attorney General.
Palfrey has served in both the Obama and Biden administrations and before that in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office as the first Chief of the Health Care Division.
“I have witnessed first-hand how the Attorney General’s office can address the issues that affect us on a daily basis,” Palfrey said in a statement. “As Attorney General, I will protect consumers from loan sharks and fraudsters, and confront the structural racism raging in the justice system. our criminal justice system, taking steps to protect workers from wage theft, and focusing on helping people vote. And as we face the existential threat of climate change, I will urgently work to combat our effects. “
He is the third Democrat to enter the race alongside the former Boston City Councilor Andrea Campbell and Labor Attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan.
