PSG teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma hugs Lionel Messi in their first pre-season training session » FirstSportz

On Monday, Paris St Germain held its first pre-season training session of the season, which also included players who hadn’t joined their respective international teams in the previous month.
Lionel Messi was among PSG players who took part in international matches after the end of the 2021-2022 season when he played against Italy in Argentina 2022 Finalissima game and against Estonia in a friendly match. According to RMC Sport, Messi was set to make his first pre-season training appearance of the year on July 11.
Messi underwent medical tests and took part in light training with the rest of his PSG teammates. During one such exercise, Messi was hugged from behind by Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who expressed his affection for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. Messi was unaware of who the player or club member was as he was more focused on his routine cycling.
Messi’s reaction was a little amusing for the observer, but it could be one of Donnarumma’s pre-workout routines unknown to netizens. Messi and Donnarumma recently faced each other as their two national teams went head-to-head in the first-ever Finalissima to be played between the winners of the Euro and the Copa America.
Messi’s side raged against the uninspiring Italy, in which Donnarumma had to take the ball off the net three times and Argentina were crowned the first-ever winners of the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions.
