Prisco NFL Division knockout playoff picks: Bills knock out Chiefs in thriller, Rams oust Tom Brady, Bucs

The first week of the NFL knockouts hasn’t been good for me and my NFL picks.

I won 2-4 ATS and 2-4 with my Best Bets on part of the Pick Six Podcast. I went straight 6-0, so I have that for me.

My ATS record for the season is currently 146-129-3, while my Best Bet record is 61-58. And my straight up is 174-103-1.

I had the chance to catch Ryan Wilson on our CBS Sports Expert’s Pick, but that ship was fired. I choked.

The good news is that I won’t lose to Will Brinson.

The division’s knockout was the best weekend in all of sports. Eight teams made four with lots of good teams left. Super Wild Card Weekend was quite a flop, so let’s hope this weekend brings us even more drama.

And bring me some winners.

Tennessee Titans -3.5

The Titans took a break last week and they should have Derrick Henry back to running football. That will be a challenge for the Bengals running defense, allowing 4.4 per dash into this season and having several key players in front of them attacked – WITH defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi outside. That, as usual, will mean Henry and the other Titans will have to back up. The Bengals have an explosive pass attack, but it will depend on the offensive line to hold out first Joe Burrow. The Titans are 25th in passes this year, but they’re 7th in sack count with 47. Protection will be key for the Burrow. That line was solid last week, but here’s another tough test. They had to keep the pressure inside out of the Burrow. If they can, he will successfully throw it. This will be Burrow’s first road playoff, which will be a challenge. But I think he will. He will play well. The point is that the Titans will play better. Henry and the running game put the Titans in the title game.

Pick: Titans 27, Bengals 20

Green Bay Packers -6

The 49ers impressed on the road and beat Dallas. But this will be a third straight line game. It is so difficult. The Packers are about to say goodbye and will bring the wounded back. That’s a big advantage for the Packers. The key to beating the 49ers is to block them up front. The packers did a great job of it this year and now they’ve solved it David Bakhtiari back to reinforce the front. I think Aaron Rodgers will get success in the match against the 49ers middleweight. The key to protecting the Packers will be how they stop the run and get the game in Jimmy Garoppolo. I think they’ll do a solid job – even if they won’t stop them – to find a way to pull this game out and progress to the main game. The 49ers are a dangerous team, but Rodgers will be the difference.

Pick: Packer 29, packer 49 people 21

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3

This is a rematch from an early game of the season for the Rams. But this is the Rams playing in a brief week after the game on Monday night, and now they are forced to travel across the country. That is a challenge. The Bucs have a number of offensive line issues that could ultimately decide this game. Three of their squad could miss this week’s game, which wouldn’t be a good thing facing the Rams front and Aaron Donald. Matt Stafford played well first Quantily and Tampa Bay’s defense had some problems behind the scenes, although it’s healthier there now. The Rams will want to run the ball to lead their game, so it’s imperative that the three inside block Vita Vea and the front side. I think they can. This Rams has a lot of stars, and I think this is where they will come in. Special instability. Rams won it.

Pick: Rams 30, Bucs 28

Kansas City Captain -2

This is a rematch from a game earlier in the season that the Bills won at the Chiefs’ home ground. Bills and Chiefs are both having impressive victories. Both Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen lit up their opponents last week, but this is a big step up for both defensive sides. The Bills have the top-ranked defense in the league and built their passing pass last season to beat Mahomes. The captain’s defense was not good but played much better in the second half of the season. The Chiefs love to play the flash game, which will leave Allen free to run and make throws on the run. I think that will be the difference here. The Bills behind Allen will win a fun gunfight for all ages.
