Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan of Sussex are about to make an unexpected career change

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan could be venturing into unexpected new career territory after their bombshell Netflix documentary and Harry’s book Spare.
You might want to get your popcorn ready and slip into your comfy pajamas – as a source has told The Telegraph the couple wants to do romantic comedy.

Not starring in them, mind you, but producing them (though it would be pretty funny to see Harry and Meghan act in a rom-com together.)
“There will be a greater focus on fictional, scripted content,” the source said, hinting there would be a deliberate shift away from autobiographical work following the controversy surrounding Spare and the Harry and Meghan documentary.
“It’s going to be rom-coms, feel-good and light-hearted shows.”
Meghan, who has no interest in returning to an acting career, is expected to work as an executive producer and continue her charity work.
“They’re fed up with being in the spotlight for now,” a source said.
“It’s been a difficult few weeks in many ways and they want to take a step back.”
Aside from their own love story being played out in the recent Netflix documentary, what do Harry and Meghan know about romance movies and television?
Well, in Spare, Harry admitted to watching friends while one of Meghan’s favorite movies is When Harry Met Sally.
She’s also a big fan of Julia Roberts’ numerous rom-coms.
Speaking to Variety last year, Meghan said: “People love love. I am not excluded in this feeling.”
“Our definition of love is really broad: love for a partner, love for self, love for community and love for family,” she continued.
“We use that as a basis for the kind of shows and documentaries we want out there.
“So much of how my husband and I see things is our love story.
“I think that’s what people around the world have connected to, especially our wedding.”
Meghan said she wants to make “funny” content and misses spreading good rom-com movies.
“I’ve seen Harry and Sally probably a million times,” she said.
“And all the Julia Roberts romantic comedies. We need to look at that again.”
When Harry met Meghan, anyone?
In an opinion piece for The Spectator, Alexander Larman mused on the idea.
“It is uncertain if the deal Netflix struck with Harry and Meghan will extend to a recreation of their sweet meeting, wedding and subsequent flight to California,” he wrote.
“If it were, and their life together turned into a 90-minute film, it might just be the weirdest romantic comedy ever made.
“The usual staples of the genre (crazy best friends, dating disasters, one last role meeting amidst cheering crowds) would have to alternate with rather less amusing scenes in which the hero fights his family (literally in the case of his brother) and battles the media .
“It would be an invigorating combination, but maybe not the easy escapism that audiences are asking for at the moment.
