Boise State Broncos 25-7 vs 25-7 Wyoming Cowboys in the Mountain West Tournament Semifinals tonight at 9:30 p.m. EST.
Wyoming overcame belated accusations from UNLV to move forward while Boise State survived its fear of Nevada. These teams split their regular-season streak in half, with the Broncos winning three in January and the Cowboys winning by seven points a week later.
Does the value lie in Boise State winning for the seventh time in eight games, or will Wyoming win a third in a row?
Please check More odds at WynnBET to find that out:
Neither team excelled against the spread (ATS) of the period. Wyoming’s win over UNLV broke ATS’ three-game losing streak, and Boise State was just 4-7 ATS in their last 11 games.
However, it was an interesting matchup, as the respective strengths of both teams outweighed the weaknesses of the other. In their last five games, Boise State is at 87th in offensive rating and 20th in defense while the Cowboys are in 14th and 88th place respectively.
As the Broncos’ defense struggled, the outcome was a great bet. It’s 10-2 in their most recent dozen contests and I show it’s worth again here.
There’s only been two times when a Wyoming game ended with a total this low, and considering it closed at 134.5 and 132 in the first two games these teams played, I think that’s a couple of points. too short. Neither team is playing at a fast pace, but Boise State has reached the one-ton free throw line and stands at 93 percent in real-shot percentage in their last five games.
As we get deeper into the conference league, feet start to tire in defense and I think we’ll see quite a few free throws get us through this.
