Predictions and odds between Siena vs. Quinnipiac (Can the saints continue to float like street dogs?)

The Sienna Saints head to the United Peoples Center tonight to take on their MAAC rival, the Quinnipiac Bobcats. While the Saints are second in the conference and the Bobcats are sixth, these two teams combine very well.

In fact, this could be one of the more exciting games of the MAAC finals. Siena shed tears when winning 6 of the last 7 matches, but in the last 3 matches, they only lost 1-2. Their final loss, to Monmouth, was particularly worrisome after the Hawks beat Siena 71-59.

The Bobcats have also had some struggles lately, having lost six of their last eight games, but I think they’re a better team than that. Therefore, the bookies bet over 2.5 left in this match in favor of the home team. Here are the odds for this match, with the help of WynnBET Sportsbook.

One of the big things that caught my eye when looking at the results of these two teams was how badly the Bobcats played at home. At least from an ANT’S perspective. Quinnipiac is a 4-8 ATS at home and 2-4 ATS as a home favorite. The last time they held a home game was on January 28 as the dogs one point ahead of Marist. Siena didn’t have much work on the way to favorites but took a 1-0 lead in those games. Overall on the road, they are 6-6 ATS. Not impressive but at least they’re not under .500.

The Saints also do a lot of the things I would have liked from a bad kid. They are the better free kick team, they play much better perimeter defense and have a much sturdier defense overall than Quinnipiac. They get more blocks, more steals, and miss fewer fouls and redirects. I feel good in Siena tonight as one team plays much better and gets lower odds.

Pick: Siena +120 to win
