Predictions and odds between Alabama vs. Kentucky (Confident Kentucky will win comfortably)

This is my must-see game of the day in college basketball. No. 4 Kentucky Wildcats and No. 25 Alabama Crimson Tide will fight at Rupp Arena this afternoon. The Wildcats returned home to lick their own wounds after being beaten by Tennessee in their final timeout 76-63. It was their first loss since January 22 when they were beaten by No 2 Auburn. The Volunteers are not Auburn, however, and this recent loss feels a little more problematic.

The Crimson Tide, meanwhile, enters this SEC clash with a three-row win after losing head-to-head games against ranked teams Auburn and Kentucky. Alabama are in a good position to play for a revenge position if they can fix the problems that plagued them in their 66-55 loss to the Wildcats. Here are the odds for this SEC showdown, backed by WynnBET Sportsbook.

The Crimson Tide continues to be one of the confounding teams to bet on college basketball. Some games they looked like could lead the SEC and others made me wonder how they managed to climb to fifth place in the conference. There was no doubting their talent, however, and they proved capable of sticking with any team in the conference on a fine night. While Alabama may not have the stats or records of their competitors, it should be noted that, according to KenPomThe Crimson Tide had the toughest schedule in the country.

We talk a lot about rankings here but the country’s toughest schedule is usually not one of them. This will be Alabama’s ninth game against a ranked team. In those games, however, the Crimson Tide is only 2-6 ATS. They also only lost 1-2 ATS in bot lane and 2-5 ATS in the last seven bot lane matches.

How much I want to appreciate Bama’s value on the road, I just don’t see it happening to them. They were so conflicted and I think the schedule ended up getting them fired. Alabama has only lost 1-4 ATS in the last 5 and 2-10 ATS in the last 12 and I see another ATS loss to a ranked team in their future.

Lean: Kentucky -6.5
