Prediction Makhachev vs. Green, Odds, Best Bets

UFC Vegas 49: Makhachev vs. Green gives us a brief rundown of the main event, but without giving us a chance to see one of the rising stars in the octagon, Islam Makhachev manages to continue his ascent above the lightweight rankings.

Makhachev will take on fan Bobby Green on Saturday night as one of the most beloved bets in recent memory. Green came in briefly, but was on the verge of a win earlier this month and will score the biggest goal of his career.

Having that Lightweight main event and 10 more fights get us ready for UFC 272 next weekend. With that being said, here are my four favorite bets for the Saturday card.

Allowed odds of WynnBET Sportsbook:

Best Bet Record 2022: 8-5 (+5.45 Units)

No, I’m not saying Bobby Green has much of a chance in this fight. Makhachev is a far superior grappler and should have very little problem hitting Green in the standing position. Despite moving very well in the cage, Green lacked the finishing power to really hurt Makhachev during the fight.

With that said, I think Green will do what he usually does: crush matches. ‘King’ has ended with just 4 of his 12 losses and I believe we’ll be in for a bit of trouble on Saturday night.

I really like Makhachev at +333 a bit, but my favorite bet is on 2.5 total (+100). I believe Green will try to slow this game down and get to the final ring as soon as possible. While Makhachev will eventually work this out and potentially find an end soon, I think we’ll see a comfortable period in the fight.

Makhachev finished his last three games, but two of those came in the third inning or later and the previous two were dealt. Although he can win this match however he wants, I think it will take some time.

PICK: OVER 2.5 rounds (+100)

As discussed on Jab, Cross, Hook on Wednesday night, my #1 pick!

There’s reason to be concerned with Pascual, who’s making her UFC debut, but the price tag is too good to pass up.

Her opponent, Josiane Nunes, finished off Bea Malecki in her first bantamweight bout despite being inches away and within reach. She packs a lot of power into her 5’2″ frame and has no problem finishing the wreckage in the first five minutes.

Pascual exhibits the same size difference as Nunes, who is currently moving up to Featherweight for this bout and has gone from being a little underdog in her first bout to being a big favorite. . I often want to blur someone this redirect goes far in the opposite direction of their previous fight.

The crux of my handicap is that Nunes may not have the same power advantage in Featherweight as in Bantamweight, so what?

I hope that Pascual stops the early storm from Nunes and the favorite gas escapes, opening the door for Pascual to do this fight and end up looking like a favorite.

I will shoot here of the underdog.

PICK: Pascual (+175)

Another underdog team of WMMA that I play is Cachoeira. This is all the more blurred about Ji Yeon Kim, who hasn’t won a UFC fight since 2019.

Kim had a substantial, seven-inch long-range advantage, even though both boxers stood 5’7″, but Cachoeira had the decisive knocking power to make this showdown. She won two of her three bouts. most recently as of 2020, two of which were KOs who were underdogs. The Brazilian lost his last match to Gillian Robertson by submission, but Kim will not challenge for such positions.

I would never endorse Kim as a favorite, and Cachoeira presented enough KOs to play for a lower price.

PICK: Cachoiera (+135)

I previewed the match between Turman vs. Cirkunov this with support from FanSided MMA Editor Amy Kaplan, who provided invaluable insight into that fight. Be sure to check that out.

I will find a way to pair Turman who is +100 at WynnBETwith my favorite board game at Jonathan Martinez, who sits at -245.

Martinez has a height of 2 inches and a reach of 3 inches while also standing like a hacksaw. ‘Dragon’ is the busier striker and needs to be covered by rival Alejandro Perez. Perez will probably try to trade within range with Martinez and he will have no problem touching him for the duration of the game.

After more than two years out, Perez met an easy opponent again in October with which he finished in the second round. Martinez may not be so brilliant, but he’s a step up and classy and a worthy chalk.

I’m not interested in placing -245 on a boxer, so I’ll increase my payout on Turman.

ENTER: Turman / Martinez +182
