Last week’s Powerball was jackpot after nobody scooped out the Division 1 prize.

The winning numbers were 5, 7, 18, 21, 23, 28 and 31 and the Powerball was 4.

According to spokesman Matt Hart, there have already been more Powerball Division 1 wins in 2022 than in 2019, 2020 or 2021.

“Powerball has been on a winning streak this year,” he said.

And while every person who bets on their entry has a chance of winning, lottery officials say some winning trends have emerged.

Lottery officials encourage participants to register their participation online, otherwise a lost ticket is all but gone.

“When you hit the jackpot, you’re going to want to know right away,” Hart said.

“By registering your entry, we will be able to contact you immediately after the draw to confirm the life-changing news.”

What Happens When You Win Division One?

1. A representative from The Lott will call you using the contact number provided in your account with the good news.
2. The Lott will send you a letter to confirm your Division One Powerball win – as well as some “congratulatory gifts” to celebrate your victory.
3. The Lott says you will then have to wait two weeks to receive your winnings. “You have a two-week tentative period to plan what you’re going to do with your life-changing prize,” says The Lott.
4. The prize is then deposited into your online account so you can then withdraw the millions to a bank account of your choice.
