NASHUA, NH (WHDH) – A Massachusetts father was arrested over the weekend on assault charges in connection with an alleged incident in New Hampshire that left his son with a broken leg.
Manuel Guerrero, 20, of Lawrence, is scheduled to appear on trial Tuesday in Hillsborough County Superior Court on charges of first-degree assault, according to the Nashua Police Department.
Officers responding to a report of a child with suspicious injuries at a hospital in the Nashua area around 6:45 p.m. Sunday learned that Guerreor had inflicted a leg wound on his child, police said. .
Police say the child was taken to a hospital in Boston for intensive care.
No additional details immediately available.
