PlayStation partners with Arbor Day Foundation for Horizon Forbidden West

PlayStation has announced that, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, players of its newest exclusive Horizon Forbidden West will take turns helping nature by planting trees.

The Plant and Play show, announced today in video format, is a scheme in which the players of Forbidden West not only help Aloy in his adventure to save Earth, but also help save their own planet. As part of the Arbor Day Foundation’s reforestation efforts, any Forbidden West player who receives the title of “Reaching the Daunt” by March 25, PlayStation will plant one tree for each title earned.

The program will also end if the Arbor Day Foundation achieves its goal of three reforestation projects, which are estimated at 288,000 trees. This means that if close to 300,000 players get the trophy in the game, they will plant the same number of trees.

Three reforestation projects are underway at Douglas County Forest in Wisconsin, Fire Service Private Lands in California, and Torreya State Park in Florida. PlayStation also has created a page on the PlayStation site with more information about the Arbor Day Foundation and the three projects.
