Pivoting was canceled by Fox after one season

Comedy Pivoting was canceled after just one season on Fox diversity has confirmed.
The mid-season single-cam sitcom, starring Eliza Coupe, Ginnifer Goodwin and Maggie Q, concluded its first 10-episode season on March 10.
Set in a small, middle-class town in Long Island, NY, “Pivoting” follows close-knit childhood friends Amy (Coupe), Jodie (Goodwin) and Sarah (Q) as they come to terms with the death of their fourth member of the group. Faced with the fact that life is short, these women turn around and change their current ways through a series of impulsive, unwise, and unbridled choices. These pivot points will strengthen their bond and prove that it’s never too late to screw up your life in search of happiness.
Joining Coupe, Goodwin and Q, the short-lived comedy stars Tommy Dewey as Henry, JT Neal as Matt and Marcello Reyes as Luke.
The show’s first season has an average rating of 0.4 and a total of 1.8 million viewers, according to Nielsen’s lagged viewership data.
Pivoting was created by Liz Astrof (The Conners, 2 Broke Girls), who also serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Aaron Kaplan, Dana Honor and Tristram Shapeero.
The comedy is produced by Warner Bros. TV and Fox Entertainment.
Pivoting was among Fox’s new series for the 2021-2022 season, which also debuted The Big Leap, which has since been canceled, Our Kind of People, and The Cleaning Lady, which has been renewed “Welcome to Flatch”. The cancellation of Pivoting comes ahead of Fox’s presentation to advertisers, which is scheduled for May 16 in New York City. At this event, the network will preview its upcoming 2022-2023 season at Madison Avenue.
