Drafted by the Steelers with the 52nd pick in the 2nd round of the 2022 NFL draft, George Pickens is the newest wide receiver to wear the famous colors. Pickens is known for his competitive spirit, which showed why the Steelers drafted him every day at camp. He was one of the most impressive players this training camp season.
Pickens played College Bowl at the University of Georgia, where he won the College Football Playoffs National Championship in his last game as a Bulldog. He’s ready to embrace the bright lights of the NFL and is already trending on social media for his game attitude.

George Pickens, the new hope for Steelers
Twitter was quite impressed with Pickens for not giving up the game after failing to save the ball thrown to him. Pickens chased the ball down until he caught it. Never giving up is something the Blue Collar Pittsburgh Steelers can stay true to. Pickens made a fan in Chase Claypool, another Steelers receiver, who has said that Pickens will be the “best rookie receiver in the NFL.”
