Phasmophobia Development Update teases new ghosts, ID cards, and more

The ghost-busting horror game Phasmophobia has another update on the way, and the developers have shared some short dev diaries with fans to keep the anticipation high. The latest has just come out, revealing some new assets and some tantalizing new information about two newly arriving ghosts.

These two new haunts are the biggest news in the upcoming update, even if the developers are shy about the details. So far, only a few new, heavily blurred names starting with M and D can be seen on screenshots. Some folklore enthusiasts in the comments have speculated that they may be referring to a Moroi from Romanian myth, but the second spirit remains something of a mystery. However, the heavily edited information page shows Eagle Eyes that whatever it is is no joke – among its strengths is the ability to “constantly sense the living,” meaning Ghostbusters can’t hide from it.

However, that’s not all that comes into play. The Madhouse level gets a fresh coat of paint and is reborn as the ironically named Sunny Meadows, complete with shockingly rusty metal appliances and blood-crusted treatment rooms. Additionally, players will soon be able to carry ID cards with information such as their level, community role if applicable, and prestige rank once this system is implemented. The UI for the main menu and lobby creation screen will also be updated, and a new system for reporting other players will also be added.
