Prince Andrew, Epstein’s friend and accused pedophile, has just been embroiled in another lawsuit involving the wild issue of financial advisors and the family member of a Turk attempted coup. At least in this case there is no indication of any misconduct on the part of the paedo prince.
However, it is a strange situation and a strange legal battle. Apparently the wife of a dissident Turkish politician fled Turkey for the UK, and when her financial adviser there said she had to send Andrew a “gift” to get a passport, she ended up giving the “gift”. ” Payment, like Newsweek reports:
According to court documents seen by The Telegraph, Nebahat Evyap Isbilen, 76, the wife of a prominent Turkish politician who was jailed after a failed coup attempt in 2016, claims she was deceived by her financial adviser Selman Turk – who she had entrusted with the administration her $87.5 million personal fortune – to send money to Prince Andrew.
After fleeing Turkey for the UK, Isbilen was reportedly told by Turk that she needed to give Andrew a gift of nearly $900,000 (£750,000) to get help getting a new Turkish passport after she got her left in their home country. Court documents allegedly show a payment from Isbilen to the prince on November 15, 2019.
Although he has not been accused of any wrongdoing, it is unclear what Prince Andrew thought was the reason why the money was deposited into his account.
Isbilen’s Lament allegedly that “The representation that Mrs Isbilen had to make a gift to HRH the Duke of York in connection with her passport (or for any other purpose) was wrong and Mr Turk made it dishonest knowing it was wrong was, and intended to rely on Mrs. Isbilen for it.”
Additionally, there was a relationship of sorts between Andrew and Turk: Andrew presented Turk with an award called the People’s Choice Award at a business event called Pitch@Palace, an event he created. Isbilen’s payment to him came just nine days after he presented Turk with this award.
Despite protecting documents from the Telegraph, Andrew has shown he has returned the payment in full after the case was brought to his attention.
Andrew is not a defendant in the case, but his connection to the strange situation will likely make it even harder for the pedo prince to rehabilitate his Epstein-tainted image. Staying out of the news was probably on his priority list, and the fact that he’s taking bribes without being asked will make that all the more difficult, even if he’s not technically a suspect or accused of wrongdoing.
Worse still, if it comes out that he pressured Turk to demand payment (no indication of that yet), perhaps in anticipation of Epstein-related legal fees, that would only make matters worse for the prince. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
