Pearl Abyss announces Black Desert FESTA event for July 1st in South Korea

Black Desert is having a great June: The Awakened Woosa is already out, Awakening of the Maegu is on the way, and next week Land of the Morning Light is due out, marking the game’s biggest expansion yet. A trailer for the update was released last night at Summer Game Fest in case you missed it.

But perhaps the best is yet to come, and the game certainly could use it given Pearl Abyss’ financial doldrums. The studio yesterday announced what it’s calling Black Desert FESTA, a “prelude to future content.” black desert.” It kinda sounds like it BDOs Take on the EVE Fanfest (PA owns both), but BDO The Calpheon Ball already exists for that, so it’s not clear if this is an addition or a replacement.

The studio has not yet released a schedule for the broadcast, however we do know that it will be broadcast on Twitch and YouTube, which should be welcome news for those who cannot make it to the live event in Suwon, South Korea, at short notice. Well, you know, almost everyone.
