Payout by player, final placement

Wyndham Championship payout breakdown by final placement to see the prize money each player will receive from the $7.3 million purse.
The Wyndham Championship marks the end of the PGA Tour regular season. Every player on the field came to Sedgefield Country Club looking for a payday, which they do every week. But even more than the Wyndham Championship payout and the prize money they will get, they have bigger concerns.
So much of this week in Greensboro, NC revolved around the FedExCup leaderboard and the upcoming playoffs. Players compete to climb into the top 125, improve their position to potentially pave the way to Eastlake and the TOUR Championship, and so on.
But that’s what made the top of the rankings so interesting next Sunday. On the one hand, Sungjae Im was the leader, trying to break into the FedExCup top 10. Meanwhile, rookie Tom Kim was attempting to get into the playoffs the only way he possibly can, with the temporary exception: win.
That added a lot of intrigue to the weekend. But down to the dollars and cents, here’s a look at the Wyndham Championship payout as they ended the week at Sedgefield in position looking for their share of the $7.3 million purse, with the winner being 1,314 received millions of dollars.

With over 80 players actually making the cut at Sedgefield, we’ll see some players earn more than the allotted 65 in this week’s $15,000 tournament payout.
But again, this week was not about the money players will be making on the pitch this week, but about their potential future earnings. With FedExCup Playoff spots at stake for so many players, the overarching narrative was far more than the money as players keep their Tour tickets for next year and plenty in the playoffs over the next three weeks as well can earn money.
