FOXBORO (CBS) – The Patriots are bringing in one of the team’s standout practice players. Defender Daniel Ekuale has signed his future, the team announced on Tuesday.
Ekuale was signed with the New England training team in September, and though never made it to the 53-man roster, he made a pretty regular spot on the team’s roster. The 28-year-old was elevated to the active roster for seven regular-season competitions and New England’s play-off loss to the Buffalo Bills, contributing 23% of New England’s record in those games. .
Ekuale won a total of five tackles and two misses in the regular season before scoring an assist in the post-season.
He is currently one of seven players signed a futures contract with the Patriots for 2022.
